Jan Żychoń was only 26 years old when he became the chief of the intelligence agency in the Free City of Gdańsk, in 1928. Despite his young age, he was already an experienced agent. His work was met with an abrupt end in 1944 due to a military trial aimed at proving his alleged lack of loyalty towards his country and cooperation with the Abwehr.
