Karolina, a young Polish woman, embarks on a trek through Volhynia, where her family is from. Her relatives were killed in the so-called Volyn massacre in 1943. This trauma still hurts. Karolina treks on foot, accompanied by Ukrainian cameraman Oleksandr with his camera. They talk to Volyn residents about past events. It is the voice of the young generation in the process of Polish-Ukrainian reconciliation.
