The film tells the story of Tadeusz Romer, mainly focusing on his life during the Second World War. His diplomatic career is presented in the documentary. Romer was one of the last people to ever see Gen. Sikorski alive. After the general’s death, he became the foreign minister of the Polish government-in-exile and left for Moscow to negotiate with Stalin. When the talks failed, he suffered a heart attack.
