The film’s protagonist is attorney Leon Mirecki, who was an inspector of the General Command of the National Military Organisation and a member of the General Board of the National Party during the occupation. After the war, he repeatedly tried to rebuild the party’s structures, to no avail. Despite many years of suffering repression and constant arrests, he kept promoting the Polish national values, serving as an educator for entire generations of people connected with the national movements in Poland.
