The film paints the picture of the tragic events of 1983, in Nowa Huta. It shows the retaliation after the tragic death of Ryszard Smagur, murdered on May 1 during one of Solidarity’s manifestations. Kazimierz Kubrak, one of Smagur’s friends who took part in the disarming of the officers of the Supernumerary Citizens’ Militia, tells us about this unique event in the history of the Polish People’s Republic.
