On August 14, 1991, an office in Jonggak was crowded with reporters. In a cramped space of less than 10 square meters, Grandma Kim Hak-Soon told her own story, at times with bluntness and at times passionately. On the spot, the crime against humanity so-called “comfort women” revealed a concrete picture through “testimony”. That was the beginning: the subsequent international solidarity, the conviction in an international court against the perpetrator Japan, and several “discourses” published by Japan.
