Film speaks about 4 women whose lives were marked by the battle for Vukovar in 1991. The city of heroes but also heroines was and remains a symbol of Croatia’s battle for independence. Vasilija Tucker Vaska and Elizabeth Geušić Beti took up arms, doctor Mirjana Semenić Rutko after graduation soon began her internship, Dušica Zeko left the hospital to break through after she gave birth to a daughter Antonija which died in an incubator.
